DE Sea depths - the theme of the 2019 Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival. Officially, the carnival will begin on February 1 with the opening ceremony, which will be replaced by various competitions that will be held during the month: the competition of children's musical groups (murgas) from February 7 to 9, the competition of adult musical groups from February 11 to 15, gala concerts and the elections of the carnival queens - the nursery on February 17, the queen of the third age - on February 20, and the adult queen of the carnival will be chosen on February 27. March 1 street festivities will begin with a proclaiming cavalcade, a competition of rhythm and harmony, which will be held the next day, then the day carnival will take place twice - March 3 and 9, and the main carnival procession will take place on the main streets of the city on March 5. The extravaganza will end on March 10, according to the tradition, by the performance of the Nifú-Nifá musical group and a grand pyrotechnic show.
