DE Playazos. "This is the name of the new initiative launched by the Las Teresitas website, www.playadelasteresitas.es, with the aim of boosting this Santa Cruz bathing area," offering diverse experiences to its visitors ".
This website, which started as an internet site to inform citizens about everything related to Las Teresitas, including weather conditions, now proposes "playazos", which consist of different activities or experiences that can be performed on the beach at a reduced price and for a certain period of time.
The first activity that has been launched is the so-called Stand Up Paddle, which is developed through Anaga Experiencie, initially for 20 days. To enjoy it you have to buy a 15 euro voucher, which will allow two people to practice the aforementioned sport in Las Teresitas. This "beach" includes a 15 minute initiation course with a qualified instructor, 45 minutes of navigation, tables and paddles, and liability insurance.
Other activities will be added to this activity, such as kayak trips to the beach of El Balayo from Las Teresitas, underwater baptisms or experiences with discounts at restaurants in the town of San Andrés.
This is what Gonzalo Arenas says, co-founder of the Las Teresitas website. "We have embarked on this new adventure in order to make the beach more dynamic, we hope that people like it and that we can offer more and more things," he adds.
Arenas was, and is, a regular visitor to Las Teresitas, who loves to walk along the chicharrera beach. Together with his partner, and already tired of "everything that was talked about Las Teresitas was negative", they decided two years ago to create a website for this bathing area, in which only "positive" information was offered for the citizens, both residents and visitors.
In this web you can find information about all the services of the chicharrera beach; about weather conditions, including whether or not it is windy; about where to eat or how to get there, among other aspects. From now on, the section called "playazos" is also included, which "we will enrich as the initiative consolidates", says the co-founder of www.playadelasteresitas.es.
"Our intention is that there are more and more things to do in Las Teresitas and offer discounts so that everyone can access these activities, we have a beach that we should be proud of and that we should take care of and take advantage of", says Gonzalo Arenas.
On the other hand, soon the Governing Board of the City Council will approve the proposal for the award, by the Contracting Committee, of the eight new beach bars of Las Teresitas beach. The winning companies are Isla de Mar, Strasse Park, Promotion and Production of Fairs, Maremita, El Enyesque, Vicenzo Restauraciones, Comercial Insay and El Caracol.
